This day provides an opportunity to honour the experiences of Indigenous Peoples, celebrate their resilience, and affirm that every child matters. September 30th was chosen because for many generations, on that day, Indigenous children were taken from their families and homes and forced into the residential schools.

Ontario Drivers Reminded to Renew Their Licence Plates

Ontario Police have recently released statements and a video reminding drivers that they are still required to get their license plates renewed every one to two years, most commonly before the driver’s birthday. You are no longer required to pay the annual $120 fee to renew your plates, but any drivers who refrain from renewing their plates can be fined $110 - $500 under the Highway Traffic Act.
