Intact Insurance's Better Communities Program annually provides funding to Canadian registered charities nominated by insurance brokers. The 2024 focus areas for this program were:

Project SHARE: A Pillar of Support in Niagara Falls
Project SHARE (Support, Housing, Awareness, Resources, and Emergency) has been a cornerstone of support for Niagara Falls residents for over three decades. As a non-profit charitable organization, they provide support and assistance in 5 key areas including food security, homelessness prevention, training and education, healthy living and seasonal support at Christmas and back to school.
The impact of Project SHARE is significant:
- Nearly 1 million pounds of food distributed annually
- Support provided to 6,000 individuals each year
- 110 families receive daily emergency assistance
- 33% of those helped are children
- 13% are seniors
Their vision to lead the fight against hunger and empower those in need aligns perfectly with the Better Communities Program's focus on food security and community resilience.
