About Ladybird Animal Sanctuary
Ladybird Animal Sanctuary is a unified voice for abandoned, abused and neglected animals in our community. Together, through a system of volunteers, foster homes, educators, animal lovers, and exceptionally generous people, they aim to eliminate the unnecessary suffering of domestic animals in our local shelters. Ladybird rescues cats, dogs, small animals, and even farm animals and never shy away from rescuing senior animals, those with costly medical issues and the so-called ‘hard to adopt’. They believe that every life is worth saving and that a loving home is just around the corner; Ladybird has rescued over 1,000 animals since 2011.
Ladybird Fundraising Soiree
Youngs Insurance is a sponsor of Ladybird's upcoming fundraising Soiree. This year's fundraising event supports building a physical farm sanctuary to help even more animals in need.
The 6th Annual Ladybird Soiree will take place on Thursday, November 5, 2020 at 7:30pm at Shawn & Ed Brewing Company in Dundas, Ontario. There will be several musical performances by Kathleen Edwards, Whitehorse as well as by Ladybird’s founders Melissa McClelland, Lisa Winn and Janine Stoll, to name a few. This fundraising evening will also include gourmet vegan fare, a silent auction, and craft beer and wine tastings. If you would like to attend, tickets are $150 and can be purchased here.
