Pantry Four Paws
Submission Story |
Pantry Four Paws volunteers work tirelessly to care for stray cats and kittens. I joined their Facebook page two years ago when I adopted two kittens from them. I have viewed happy stories and some very sad stories on the page. The volunteers sometimes deal with great sadness when a young cat or kitten that came to them from a dire situation, doesn't make it. On the other hand, they have painstakingly nursed many cats and kittens back to health.
A recent story that comes to mind is a small black kitten found blindly wandering around with a horrid infection in both eyes. The photo of this little kitten was heartbreaking Pantry Four Paws volunteers took the little kitten in and called him Neil. They spent a year nurturing and nursing Neil back to health; taking him to Veterinary appointments and putting meds in his eyes. It was a joy to follow his progress on Facebook. Although Neil ended up losing an eye he is now living happily with his new family.
Pantry Four Paws is always working to raise funds by holding dinners, auctions and bake sales. I feel like Pantry Four Paws works very hard and it is all from the heart and they would be very deserving of the Youngs Insurance charitable donation.
All 4 winning charities will be announced on our 108th Birthday, May 10th 2018!
