Tis the season to keep our seniors warm! We are happy to report that Youngs Insurance warmed all the seniors in the Long Term Care Unit at the Welland Hospital this Christmas.
Youngs Giving Back to Seniors
This year, in the spirit of giving back to our community the staff at Youngs Insurance Brokers Inc. adopted all 40 of the residents at the Interim Long Term Care (ILTC) Unit, which is an extension of the Extended Care Unit at the Welland Hospital.
The residents were delighted when Santa and his elves came to visit with a cozy blanket for each of them. Many of the residents do not have regular visitors so it was important that they didn’t feel alone, especially during Christmas. After the blankets were delivered, everyone had the opportunity to take pictures with Santa. Seeing the smiles on their faces after they met Santa was very touching. They also expressed how excited they were to use their new blankets.

Youngs Insurance would like to thank the ILTC, the Niagara Health System and staff for allowing our employees to surprise the residents and for helping to facilitate this special visit. It was a very memorable day for everyone involved and it was truly touching to see how this gesture brightened each resident’s day.
Spreading joy and thinking of others is what the Christmas spirit is all about and we are very grateful that we were given this opportunity, especially since it was benefiting a sweet group of seniors.
