This year the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation made an interesting change to their annual campaign name. The decision to transition away from Breast Cancer Awareness Month, was explained, “Creating a future without breast cancer takes more than awareness, it takes ACTION!” This sounds like an exciting new platform, while providing awareness they are asking Canadians to take ACTION and do their part in changing the future. “Since 1986, the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation has been at the forefront of a nationwide movement supporting and advocating for the breast cancer community. While most people are aware of breast cancer, many forget to take the steps to have a plan to detect the disease in its early stages and encourage others to do the same. The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation urges everyone to help create a future without breast cancer by doing their part and taking action!

- Make a donation: Whether you donate financially or volunteer your time everything helps
- Learn more about the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation: Educate yourself on how research is funded, the people and programs bringing us closer to a future without breast cancer and local heroes; those living with the disease, their caretakers and survivors
